Designed by Ron Arad Architects, 154 HaYarkon Street is a new residential building in Tel Aviv. The luxury apartment building will be located on the Mediterranean promenade of HaYarkon Street. The building will lie within the UNESCO world heritage site known as "White City" in Tel Aviv. It is a unique conservation area with the largest collection of original existing Bauhaus buildings in the world.


With the impetus of UNSECO's World Heritage Site status awarded in 2003, Tel Aviv is undergoing large-scale rejuvenation programmes intent both on celebrating this unique architectural legacy, and on harnessing the city's construction boom towards the creation of architecture of quality and distinction. With this in mind, the client first commissioned a conceptual programme and architectural brief which would combine the historic heritage with a successful interpretation of "luxurious living" in the context of modern Tel Aviv.


From a very early stage in the building's design, it was clear that one of the biggest challenges would be to preserve and maximise the sea-facing façade for each individual apartment, in order to secure an unsurpassed view of the sea, even from the lower floors.


The 154 Hayarkon street building will have six floors with two individual apartments on each floor. The building will have a roof terrace with a pool accessible to all the apartments. The two basement levels will have 17 parking spaces with a curved access ramp from the street. Construction of the building is scheduled to begin at the end of 2010. The total area of the building will be 5,500m².

Ron Arad | Israeli Design Museum, Holon

The 2000 sqm museum was designed by world famous Israeli designer Ron Arad and will be part of the mediatheque। The Israeli design center was established in september 2004, within the mediatheque, headed by dr. Razi Amitay, which contains a new, updated city library, and a new theatre for young audiences. The new Design Museum is located in an area of regeneration in the city of Holon a few miles south of Tel Aviv. As part of the municipality's desire to strengthen cultural identity and impact on a national level, research for the museum explored how it could become a cultural and educational hub for central Israel to promote the appreciation of design in Israel and of Israeli design abroad. The israeli design center aims to act as an information center for designers, industrialists, academy members and students, business initiators, and for the general public that finds design professionally and culturally interesting, they run theme conferences, conventions, lectures, workshops to encourage the meeting and discussion of design issues.the center have run 2 successful design conferences.
